A photograph will tell you what a garment looks like. It will not tell you whether the seam sits flat, whether the lining clings in August, or whether the collar still holds its shape after a wash. Those are the things you find out at home, usually too late. So we decided to find them out first.
Our story
The dress that looked right and felt wrong
Arinafashion began with a returned parcel. The dress was exactly what the photograph promised and impossible to wear for more than an hour: stiff where it should have moved, thin where it should have held. Nothing about it was visible on a screen.
That is a strange way to sell clothing, and we did not want to repeat it. So we inverted the order. Fabric first, cut second, and the photograph last of all.
How we choose
Three questions before anything is listed
Does the fabric move the way the shape needs it to? Does it hold that shape after washing? And would we be comfortable in it on a long day, not just a short one?
If a piece fails any of the three, it does not go on the site. That is a slower way to build a collection and it means we carry less than most stores. We would rather be small and right.

The best compliment a garment can earn is that you forgot you had it on. No adjusting at the shoulder, no waiting for the day to end. It simply behaved.
That is what we are building toward: a small collection of pieces that disappear in the right way, and stay in your wardrobe long after the season they were bought in.

Free shipping across the United States. Thirty days to return anything. Duties and import taxes are included in the price, so nothing extra is ever due on delivery.
